The WECN is a partnership consisting of the Converse Area New Development Organization, the Wyoming Business Council, Department of Energy, Pacific Power, Kinder Morgan, and the Wyoming Retail Merchants Association. The core project of the partnership is development of the WECN website, which will allow you (the Wyoming resident) to conduct an on-line self-assessment of your home. WECN will provide to you energy conservation tips and suggestions, as well as the contact information for Wyoming businesses that can help you, the consumer, utilize the energy saving tips.

The goal, of course, is to help Wyoming become more energy efficient. The money that is saved will allow you to enjoy a higher standard of living. The benefit to WECN is that you not only receive energy efficient information, but that you receive Wyoming specific information.

The key to WECN is the creation and operation of an interactive website that allows users to conduct a self-audit of their home or business energy use. Consumers will complete on-line forms at the website, detailing their energy uses (light, appliances, lifestyle, etc.) and building infrastructure (consumption factors. construction type, etc.). The information will be automatically analyzed at the web server to establish baseline information, and a computer-generated response for your specific needs.
